Prevent Emotional Swings with Yoga

The emotions that we experience throughout the day leave us stressed, overwhelmed and exhausted. It is not that we are always happy; sometimes we experience negative emotions too. The bouts of anger, sadness, bitterness, madness fill our minds with negative thoughts and leave us completely exhausted. Our emotions, at times, oscillate like a pendulum. It is then we experience mood swings. Mood swings can be caused due to hormonal imbalance and abnormal level of neurotransmitters. However, external factors like stress and tensions of daily life are also responsible for severe mood swings.

Well, whatever is the cause, mood swings affect everyone. We need to find out ways to deal with emotional turbulence. One of the easiest ways to deal with emotions is to practice yoga regularly. The various yoga poses explained below help to relieve stress and creates emotional balance.

Uttanasana or Standing Forward Bend: Practicing this pose for a few minutes, brings the mind in a relaxed state and helps you to combat depression and stress.
