A woman is often referred as the “backbone” of a family. She is responsible for running a household efficiently and smoothly. She is the one who cares for everyone in the family. Today’s multitasking women can create a perfect balance between their professional lives and personal lives. However, even these all-knowing, multi-tasking women can feel stressed and tired while juggling between office and household responsibilities. Pressure keeps mounting up for a woman who manages both their homes and careers. An attempt to succeed in life, to stay ahead in the race leaves them under tremendous stress. A stressful lifestyle results in a number of health issues, especially depression and mood swings.
What to do then? How can today’s multitasking women combat stress and live a healthy lifestyle? Well, one of the easiest ways would be to practice yogic meditation. The term “yogic meditation” may sound big and bombastic; however, it is a simple method and regular practices calms the mind, soothes the nerves and relaxes the body. When the mind is in a relaxed state, a woman can become tremendously efficient both in the home and in the office. Daily meditation sessions for at least 15 minutes enable a woman to get rid of every day anxiety and tensions and endows her with tremendous emotional and mental strength to face all adversities in life.
The fact is present day women are often confronted with challenges both on the professional and personal front. They are sometimes under tremendous pressure both within and outside their homes. Meditation teaches them to deal with stress, combat negative thoughts and actions. Simple yogic meditative postures such as Supta Vajrasana and Padmasana coupled with breathing techniques help in relieving stress and anxiety. Women can also perform Surya Namaskar to stay fit and healthy. It takes about 10- 15 minutes to complete a full Surya Namaskar cycle. This technique helps to bring the mind in a relaxed state.
In today’s world, it is essential for women to have some “me time” when they can practice yoga to calm down their mind, body and spirit. Yoga is a must for women living hectic lives. It helps in bringing a holistic approach and rejuvenates mind, body and spirit.
